The Contributor Agreement, 2024-06-06

By submitting work ("the Work") to The LDraw Organization ("LDraw.org"), the submitter ("the Author"), agrees to release the Work under the Creative Commons Attribution License 4.0 International License ("CC BY 4.0") (or future versions at the discretion of the LDraw.org Library Administrator) or, at the Author's option, to the public domain via the Creative Commons CC0 Public Domain Dedication ("CC0"). The Author can decide to change the chosen license from CC BY 4.0 to CC0. A decision to change licenses will affect all LDraw.org related Works from the Author. The decision to use the CC0 license is permanent and cannot be changed. All edits to the Work will be covered by the license chosen by the Author of the Work.

By submitting work ("the Work") to The LDraw Organization ("LDraw.org"), the submitter ("the Author"), agrees to release the Work under the Creative Commons Attribution License version 2.0 ("the CCAL").

For the purposes of this license The Work is defined as the LDraw Parts Library (and all parts within it) and all items at the Official Model Repository (OMR)
The CCAL 2.0 will be used. The licensed items will be identified by the appearance of the following line in the file header as placed there by the LDraw Administrators or the Original Author.

The Author acknowledges that, provided LDraw.org follows the guidelines of the CCAL, the following rights are granted to LDraw.org via the CCAL:

• Non-revocable, no-cost, non-exclusive rights to distribute the Work in any form LDraw.org chooses
• The right to create derivative works of the Work

Responsibilities

The acceptable method of including attribution information in the Work will be provided by LDraw.org. While it is The LDraw.org's responsibility to maintain the correct attribution on all submitted works, it is the Author's responsibility to provide LDraw.org with the correct attribution information. LDraw.org will investigate and, if necessary, correct any attribution errors if notified by the Author or other persons.

Since it may become necessary for LDraw.org to contact the Author regarding the Work, it is the Author's responsibility to maintain an up to date method of contact with LDraw.org.

If it becomes necessary to change the license under which the Work is released, LDraw.org will make all reasonable efforts to contact the author regarding the change. No change to the license will be made without the author's permission; however, distribution of the Work by LDraw.org may be discontinued or the method of distribution may be altered.

Submission

To submit parts , you must be authorized as an author on the Parts Tracker and have read and affirmed the Contributor Agreement.
To become authorized as an author you must first register with the LDraw.org Forum (it's free) and then send an email to the Parts Library Admin (Orion Pobursky) with your true first and last names and your LDraw.org username. You must also include the statement "I accept the LDraw.org Contributor Agreement with regards to all past and future contributions I make to LDraw.org".
