2 rules changes the the Model of the Month (MOTM) contest will go into effect for all submissions received for the April 2004 contest and later.
1. No LDraw files of official LEGO models sets (detailed in either the instructions or on the box) will be allowed to enter. Original models made from the same set of pieces (i.e. original alternate models) will still be allowed

2. The author will submit the DAT file to the contest coordinator. The contest coordinator will not make the DAT file publicly available unless specifically authorized by the author. The contest coordinator will render the model in 2 standard views (3/4 above front, 3/4 above behind) and 2 - 3 custom views specified by the author (the author may submit an altered version of the model for cutaway views, alternate configuration, etc...)

Note: the Scene of the Month rules will remain unchanged
