October 2007 Model of the Month

The Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb
by Matija Puzar

Matija Puzar writes about his model:

The theatre was ceremoniously opened by the emperor Franz Joseph I in 1895, after 16.5 months of work. The neo-baroque building was designed by the Viennese architects Ferdinand Fellner and Herman Helmer.

The model is being built approximately in minifig scale and the design consists of approximately 37000 parts (built with bricks will be a bit more due to a lot of added support, some parts being replaced with others, etc.) It took a few months of work in MLCAD to get the design to the final stage.
